After much encouraging from family and friend, I am adding pictures of a few of my quilts. I am expanding my business to include the design and sewing of the TOPS for you my customers. I have been designing and piecing tops for about 14 years. It is a exciting and fullfilling endeavor. The completed tops are sent out to be professionally quilted.
Now I have an ad with our local quilt shop, along with several longarm quilters, in their service providers flyer.
Pricing for quilt top piecing is done through size first, then fabrics needed by design.
QUILT TOPS PIECED:
$ .015 per sq. inch
$7.80 - $9.50 per yd. 100% cotton; high count quilters fabric
$5.00 per spool of thread
$0.90 per bobbin used
How to determine sq. inch per quilt top? multiply the side by the top.
EXAMPLE if A lap quilt is 60"x60" there are 3600 sq. inchs in the top. that would be x $0.015 = $54.00 for the base price.

COLORS Christmas theme (5 fabrics)

This is my first quilt. I pieced and quilted the whole project using a Babylock Companion. I started classes in February and had 4 weekly lessons. I finished the quilt in June of 1993, after waiting to find just what I wanted to border it. Of course I had to wait for Christmas fabric to show up at the shops.. I was overwhelmed by the finished quilt so much that I wouldn't let anyone sit with it the first year. Every year it just gets better. I take it out at the first sign of cold weather and I use it all through the winter.
My next project took nearly 3 years to finish. What was I thinking? A king size bedspread hand quilted by the Ladies of Pearland Senior Center, finished in 2000. I started sewing it in 1995, it stayed in a closet for 2 years until my Mother came and took it to the center. I would never had considered fighting with all that fabric. The ladies did the quilting in just 5 months. Hope you enjoy this one, it is a beauty.
